Up-and-coming Philly rock band Parachuting Apostles rocked the house with a blend of light and sound. The saxophone wielding lead singer stated in the beginning of the set that he had slipped everyone’s drink with LSD and by the middle of their performance... READ MORE
Amazon Review: Keep an eye on this band, August 12, 2011 By Daniel M. Gallagher (Philadelphia, PA USA) This review is from: The Parachuting Apostles (MP3 Download) These guys are amazing. The music is good, fun rock. The singer has a great 70's rock kind of voice that you just don't hear anymore. The only bad thing about the album is it's over too soon. If you like rock this album is a must buy.
Origivation Magazine Sept 2011 Album Review
The Parachuting Apostles The Parachuting Apostles By Raymond Simon
Considering how young these guys are-and from the looks of the photo gracing the inside of this debut CD all are still under 30-they are wise beyond their years. I say that because the Parachuting Apostles have got the basics down pat: choose a catchy name, keep your songs brief and lively, and don't be afraid to rock out. Comprised of alumni from the Paul Green School of Rock, this quintet turns up the heat immediately with opening number "Limb from Limb," which features crunching guitars and vocals that are unafraid to go for it. Throughout the record, the rhythm section is tight. (Bassist Jake Dean is a familiar face from World Café Live and drummer Branden King has logged significant playing time with Philly skate punk stalwart, Chuck Treece.) The third number, "Let's Do It (Right This Time)," showcases the band's funky side. An especially nice touch here is the interplay between Domenic Malandro's sax and the drumming. But when you want to rock, it's about guitars, guitars, guitars. To that end, axe-masters Kenny Luu and Louis Graff more than satisfy; this CD has riffs galore and the guitar solos are tasty. Perfect music for driving to the beach.

Lyrics
Agent Man
I am the man for the job just you wait and see
I am the man for the job just you wait and see
I'll brign you down and watch it
fall
I'll start the task , grind my axe
As simple as can be
I am the man for the job just you wait and see
I'll bring you down and watch it
fall
I am the only one for the job ,just you wait and see
I'll bring you down and watch it
fall
To Me
When I first laid eyes on you
It took me by suprise
When i first laid eyes on you
A calm storm gave life
To me
When I separate , from a clearer state of mind
It feels like the first time
When the ticking time trails a touch behind near you
Oh oh it must be something great
To me
But my eyes have been fooled once again
You know
You gave life,
To me
Mind Control
You on the streets you on the road
On and on you praise your god
Who gives us what we want want not what we need
It saves you from a black mind
Homogenous people
Victims of mind control
Whose gonna save you
and start a war
Alright now it's thicker than ever
In dawn of a mass controller
Whose come to save you and start a war
There is the mold from we all fit
They've got me and they've got you
They give us what we want not what we need
Can I save you from a black mind
Homogeneous people
Victims of mind control
Whose gonna save you
and start a war
Alright now it's thicker than ever
In dawn of a mass controller
Whose come to save you and start a war
You know I'll start it all
Marathon
Will I be around after Marathon runs ground.
Because I live for our love and the valley's beautiful
I've got to know,I got to know, I got to know my lovely
I got to know, got to know
Will I see you ,Will I find you there
Because I won't let them take the west
After my mind is broken
I'll meet you in the underworld
It's tearing up my soul
their numbers outweigh us all
Suprise them at the shore
Pheidippides running home
I got to know,I got to know,, I got to know my lovely
I got to know, I got to know
Will I see you ,will I find you there
Because I won't them take the west
After my mind is broken
I'll meet you in the underworld
